Frank Warren addresses reports that Tyson Fury was denied entry to the USA due to alleged Daniel Kinahan links

Earlier this week, it was reported that Tyson Fury may have been denied entry into the United States of America due to his alleged connection to Daniel Kinahan.

This news comes after boxing advisor Kinahan was sanctioned by the US Treasurywho have named him as a major figure in the Kinahan Organized Crime Group (KOCG).

As it stands, there is a $5 million dollar reward out for ‘information leading to the financial disruption of the Kinahan Criminal Organisation, or the arrest and/or conviction of’ Kinahan and his counterparts.

Reports then emerged from the sunday world that Fury had been stopped while trying to board his flight from the UK to the US by immigration officials.

The promoter of ‘The Gypsy King’, Frank Warren, addressed the reports on talkSPORT’s Fight Night show and explained that he was not aware of the incident.

“I don’t know.” Warren said, “What I read was that he went to an airport and was refused to get on.

“As far as I understand, he didn’t go to any airport yesterday and was in Liverpool to see his cousin [Nathan Gorman] fight.

“I haven’t spoken to him today [Saturday]. That’s news to me.”

Kinahan advised a number of boxers, of which Fury is the most high profile and ‘The Gypsy King’ even gave the Irishman a ‘big shout out’ in 2020 for his help in facilitating a two-fight deal with heavyweight rival Anthony Joshua that never ended up happening.

Despite their ties, Fury has since tried to play down the relationship between the pair, as he spoke out before his most recent fight with Dillian Whyte.

“What a man does in his own business is none of my concern, I am a boxing man, I don’t get involved in anyone’s business at all,” Fury told Sky Sports.

“I don’t care what you’ve done, I’m only concerned in what I do, and I don’t do anything apart from box. End of.”
