Runner-up in the Rockingham last year, and a subsequent Listed winner in the Abergwaun Stakes at Tipperary, MASTER MATT has a real touch of class about him and, whilst he has failed off lower weights around here in the past, the majority of his runs were over further, and he should be a force to be reckoned with over the minimum trip here. Adams Harbour, Pulse Of Shanghai and Jarvis are feared the most.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

This makes no punctuating appeal. WAR HERO is a totally speculative pick. Stamina is a concern for the returning Brushwork. Guessthebill is noted.

Torn looks a big player on paper here on the back of a fine second at Leopardstown, but slight preference is for CHICAGO LIGHTNING (nap). The latter went into the notebook when fifth on handicap debut at Leopardstown and with the third franking the form with a win at Bellewstown in the interim, the form looks quite solid. Fanroe, Dutch Glory and It’s Snowing should also take high rank.

Third in a Leopardstown Group Three and mid-pack in the Group One Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot on her latest outing, HONEY GIRL jumps off the page here and is afforded what looks like an ideal opportunity to make the breakthrough. A 107-rated filly, she has already hit the crossbar twice here and can make it third time lucky. The newcomer Illuminazione and Lecale’s Destiny look best of the rest.

CAILIN DESIGNER could offer some value now back at Dundalk. Similarly, Wychwood Whisper ought to be happier here. The market will clarify plenty.

Joseph O’Brien has a strong hand to play here with the Sligo second Selador, and perhaps more interestingly with the expensive newcomer ROSE CORSIAN. Declan McDonogh apparently prefers the latter of the pair, and it will be no surprise if she goes in the first time of asking. The Down Royal second Regally Blonde has one of these de ella in her de ella and can be expected to be waiting in the wings to pounce at the business end whilst Chicago Storm could also sneak onto the podium.

Crescent Lake has a big weight to shoulder but he could well be equal to the task and is feared, but slight preference is for HIGHLAND KING. The latter was found to have a few cuts and to be blowing hard post race when disappointing at Down Royal, but he looked to be on the right path when second at Leopardstown and a reproduction of that run should see him have a better say here. Persian Wolf and War Correspondent are amongst any amount of dangers.
